First Florida Human Language Technology Confab, Feb 2017
The University of Florida Data Science Research (DSR) Lab at the Department of Computer & Information Science and Engineering (CISE) and the UF Informatics Institute (UFII) partnered with the University of Florida Levin College of Law, for an all-Florida meeting on Human Language Technology (HLT), Monday, February 20, 2017, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM..
The “Confab” included computer science and legal professionals from various Florida universities and research institutes and explored text and speech information retrieval, computational linguistics, natural language processing, machine learning, intelligent systems, knowledge base systems, artificial intelligence and applications in decision support and technology-assisted review in legal domains.
The HLT Confab was held in conjunction with the spring 2017 E-Discovery Distinguished Speakers presentation by Prof. Maura Grossman and Prof. Gordon Cormack of the University of Waterloo. The full schedule of events and participants is attached here.
